Seems awfully elaborate, why didn't he just shoot himself once with a higher caliber?

I suspect that the poor, misguided fellow was looking to escape the consequences of a particular religious canon.

Good point. I'm sure he was also waiting for someone to notice that he was building a SuicideBot and get him some help.

In his notes, the man explained that he chose the driveway location because construction workers at a nearby site would hear the shots and find his body, which they did.

People just love to leave the most compelling questions unanswered.

His notes also talked about his struggles with relatives who thought that he should move out of his home and into an assisted care facility.

His contorted fate proved them right and wrong, at the same time:

- I don't need assisted living. See? I have the where-with-all to build a suicidebot.

- Yeah, but you built a friggin' suicidebot.

I feel terrible about it, but it kind of reminds me of this:

"Lucite hardening... Must end life in classic Lorne Greene pose from "Battlestar Galactica." Best... death... ever!"

Things are pretty bad when the fabrication of a suicidebot goes unnoticed.

You're a twisted, twisted individual.

Side note: You can find anything on the internet.
