Hell, my wife is starting to get involved in local government- this isn't that far out there- the George W Bush memorial :
Housing development on top of a landfill that is based where the sewage treatment plant used to be...I just need somed toxic waste to spice it up!!!!!!
We already have the land fill on top of sewage lagoons...all I have got to find is the worst part and name it after him somehow....

No, I haven't. But seriously? I realize the guy is a fucker, and I know nobody likes him. But is this really necessary? Honor those who succeed, learn from those who fail. Do we have to name a waste processing facility after him? I mean really. To be fair, where exactly is the Adolf Hitler shit processing plant? Memorials are meant for those who should be honored. This is a bit passive aggressive for my taste.

Hitler is so three seasons ago. San Francisco is very in the now. We're cutting edge childishness. It's kind of a municipal obsession.

Or just sarcastically aggressive?

I think it's pretty funny, though. He doesn't deserve any respect.

I'm not saying he deserves respect. I'm saying, learn from his mistakes and move on. Naming things after...fuck it, I've made my point...

[end note: pimpin' ain't easy...]

And, I've never really seen a difference between "passive aggressive" and "sarcastically aggressive"...there is a difference, but they're one in the same practically as far as I'm concerned.

It should be noted that one of the organizers of this little movement is this gentlewoman.

In fact, if you look at this whole thing in the context of a huge, public drag show, it makes a lot more sense.

a) godwin'd!

b) bush is a fool and thumbing our collective nose at his silly little fear cult is exactly the response he needs. san francisco is the sort of city that will name a sewage plant after him and have a little chuckle, then gay people will continue to get married, we'll all keep riding our bikes, and all kinds of stupid shit like this will continue to happen because we refuse to not be free, and wacky antics are what freedom looks like around here.

Yeah I'm going to join the guy from King of Prussia who's out in the wilderness here. You ever wonder why Republicans have no problem painting Liberals as childish and out of touch with Americans? This thread is the reason in case anyone was wondering. I'm as liberal as anyone else on this thread and probably more than a couple, but this is just flat-out childish and dumb. And liberals are once again the only ones wondering how Republicans can consistently paint them as out-of-touch with mainstream American values...

#1) I don't really think you realize the full-extent of his fuckerness.
#2) Lots, maybe millions of Americans (hold on, I think I just vomited in my mouth) still LOVE him.
#3) It is absolutely NOT necessary.

......God, how I hope it happens.
