You guys are so full of it. You dole out massive amounts of ad hominem abuse call names, try to shut down discussion and quash any disagreement, then whine about why anyone doesn't stick around to actually discuss stuff substantively. I'm not a coward, I can speak, but I just get so enervated by being called 'troll' and challenged on even the most obvious truisms (like Liberals being opposed to the Iraq War) on every single thing I post. I came back and thought 'Man, were they really this closed minded and antagonistic? I don't remember that somehow."

Mmm-hmm. Totally our fault that you do nothing here but spew some of the most tedious drivel put to the English language.

Yep. Entirely the fault of others that you to this day have yet to substantially contribute to any meaningful dialog here.

Yeah, that whole you thinking that saying now something as relatively uninflammatory as "Liberals are opposed to the Iraq War" somehow equates to all the times you've accused everyone on this site who doesn't toe your ridiculous warhawk line of treason, of harboring terroristic thoughts, of actively taking a stance against everything America stands for? That was totally our fault.

And that part where you never come here with any intent other than to get attention? Where you have no design other than to derail discussion and focus all eyes upon your daft caperings? Where you think no viable conversation can occur which does not fixate upon not the issues, but you yourself? That was our plan all along.

The idea that you're the victim here, though? I don't know where that came from.

Well said.

Heres what i know, which isnt alot, maybe we shouldnt have gone there in the first place, But we are there, and my best friend who's a Sgt in the army (reinlisted recently), who served in Iraq when this first all started, even says we cant just pack up and walk way from it now, more innocent people would die, and im sure there are still some dying now, but if we were to just pack up and leave it would fall into WORSE chaos than it is now, this is coming from a Sgt from the 3rd mechanized infantry who spent a year and a half (the first year in a half) knows we cant just pack up and go home and think everything will be alright.

i think personally its basicly saying weather we should have or shouldnt have is irrelevant, We need to stay and clean up our mess, it would be irresponsible to just pack up leave something we started.

The question is not whether we should stay. It's what will cause the least damage. To other people.

which is staying. unfortunately.

The Iraqis I know (and I know around 30, ages 8-11) want us there. They really loved the crayons and coats and easter bunny ears I sent. We (my ex husband and I) have letters upon letters telling us how greatful they are, and one 11 year old boy was telling us how he was teaching his mom how to read. So that was awesome.

I also wanted to say RIP to those I have lost:

SGT MYLA MARAVILLOSA
SSG RICKY SCOTT
SPC MATTHEW FRANTZ
SGT CLIFRON YAZZIE
SGT DENNIS FLANAGAN
PFC SCOTT MESSER
SSG GREESON GOURLEY
SGT RICKY JONES
PFC CHRISTOPHER MARION
PFC ALLAN MORR
CPL TY JOHNSON

RIP to thousands to my fellow brothers and sisters in arms, and may peace be with those of you who have lost someone you love in the war. Its a shame so many of you think they died in vain. I certianlly feel betrayed about why we got there, but that doesnt change things

I'm glad you're doing something useful there; kudos for it, FWTW. But you haven't answered my question.

So 68% of Americans are liberals?

No wonder you're grouchy.

Stock was pretty much the same back in 2004. I really don't know why he does it. He's managed to polarise lots of people against his viewpoint, over the years; to the point where I recall another conservative (I think it was Michael_De_Sade) telling him to shut up, because he was making the cause look bad. That can't be what Stock wanted. Unless he's some sort of liberal caricature of a conservative, some sort of sock-puppet.

Oh, wait... Ooops...
