Liberalism would keep me from being an anarchist, if I agreed with it. Liberalism insists that I cannot do anything without the help of some authoritive person, usually a politician, and uses unrestrained emotion to defend its idioms against logical facts or even questions.

Liberalism would deny me happiness, because in liberalism, there is always a cause, always something wrong that needs fixing (while ignoring or attacking the possibility that the ill of the moment may not BE fix-able). However, ignoring liberalism (as much as possible without going to jail for SOME indiscretion) I have learned that the world does not want to be fixed, and it is very ungrateful towards those that try.

Those of us in the United States have tried (in most cases unsuccessfully) to fix many ills in the world, because we are generous and kind (per capita, we donate more to world causes than any other nation. We are the majority financial supporter of the United Nations. We, as a nation, gave the bulk of the money that went to try to save those after the tsunami struck in Indonesia, only to discover that the Indonesian government didnt want us feeding people where large quantities of "Rebels" were claimed to exist) and we care. We have tried to broker peace in the middle east (a situation the British caused when they promised both the Jewish community and several Arab warlords the same piece of real estate for their assistance in a world war). You cannot have peace when one party in the fray (or at least, several powerful shrill voices) swearing to wipe the other from the face of the earth. We would nearly destroy ourselves economically in evironmental causes while the rest of the developing world would continue to pollute unabated. We are THAT generous.

Liberalism claims that diversity makes us great. This is not true. Our FREEDOM makes us great. Government has never cured ANYTHING. Where the Governments have been the largest or the most restrictive, the MOST evil occurs. Granted, SOME government is needed, only to protect us from OTHER GOVERNMENTS. At this, our government has been most successful. All other things the government has tried (such as eliminating poverty in this country) it has failed miserably-yet liberalism tries to tell me that it is because we "didnt spend enough money" on it. Now we spend more money per pupil than any other country on earth for education-yet, our kids keep winding up less and less educated-we are not getting anywhere NEAR our money's worth. Because we have eliminated competition in our schools in the name of saving the students "self-esteem", we have sacrificed the students knowledge in the outcome.

Looking to government (as liberalism insists that we do) to solve our ills makes us dependent upon government.

Sorry guys (and ladies). I know who my daddy is. And his face isnt on the currency. And I DONT want a replacement. I just want liberals with their misery and the government with its micro-management to go away.

And yes. I would give guns to everyone over 18, INCLUDING ex felons.

2 years of shoot-outs and all would be calm.....and respectful of others. Some would die innocently, but there WOULD be peace.

I can take care of my own problems. Thats why they are MINE. I dont need the government to do that for me-there is no self-worth in someone else fixing your problems for you.

Ending segregation and the civil rights movement? I do believe the government helped out a bit there with that part.

Look I am going to be completely honest with you, your whole rant comes across as flagrant troll baiting to rile people up and get a reaction. Especially the part about giving guns to felons, I mean come on here I am probably one of the most pro gun people here and even I can't see any point in giving a criminal a gun. If you want to debate the issues with people on here thats all fine well and good we all welcome that as civil discourse is a large part of an effective and well run society, but for the sake of civility can you please try and be less inflammatory?

Ron Paul is the only viable Candidate who can fix the Fiat money system and make the CIA adhere to it's Constitutionality,of course, if it wasn't for the MSM.

So, because I prefer to be left to my own devices and wish to be left OUT of the government system, that makes me a Troll?

Inflammatory? *I* didnt call anyone any names. Civil Rights? An awful lot of PEOPLE had to go along with that or all the government in the world couldnt have fixed it. The Soviet Army was told to disperse the people at the fall of the soviet empire, but the soldiers refused to fire on their own people.

Felons? when they get out of jail, havnt they PAID their debt to society?

No coming onto a well known liberal newsboard and loudly proclaiming to hate liberalism however....

So accept everything that is wrong that you cannot pinpoint a cause? Way to make progress. One of the great attributes of man is the ability to imagine something better but why bother, right? Chump! puke

Our diversity doesn't make us great, our FREEDOM makes us great, which is why Ron Paul will close the borders and give us our Constitutional freedom.

That train of thought scares me to death.

If you honestly think that there would be peace after any amount of time with that theory, you're blatantly wrong, history has proved that.

Yes, all this may be so, but you've got to admit: Liberalism looks so much better in Cashmere than Conservatism.

Indeed, that's why I'm a liberal. It's also why I'm a Mac user.

30 years ago, (according to National Geographic, among others) it was the impending Global Ice Age.

Problems exist. So why must we dwell on them to the point of making sure we're always riled up and miserable?

You're right. Sticking your head and the sand and pretending everything is OK is the perfect strategy for the future. Everything will fix itself if you just will it to be!!

Ummmm..Okay. When? When you mix booze and guns, bad things happen. Outside of that....Look what happened in Germany after the Nazi's seized all the guns...there was no way left to object to WHATEVER the government did. As of late, in places like England where guns have been banned...the crooks still have them..and use them..on the unarmed... (when they are too tired to beat someone to death with a club)
