Looks like the Nevada Mormons are out in force. The race was called for Romney by the media with just 5% of votes in. Now the battle is on for second, with 36% of votes in, Paul and McCain are tied.

Dems started two hours later. Exit polls have Clinton winning comfortably.

South Carolina is not starting out well. McCain's camp released this early today:

"We have received reports from Horry County that voters are being turned away from the polls, because electronic voting machines are not working and paper ballots are not available. Some voters say they are being instructed to return at a later time. We are disturbed by these reports and hope that this issue is resolved immediately. We encourage any voters who were turned away from the polls to return again to their polling place this afternoon to exercise their constitutional right to vote."

South Carolina is full of dirty shit birds who will do anything to win an election.

So, Obama's union support came to nothing?

As an Obama supporter I'd say if we can declare Romney the GOP candidate, we can't say Obama is in trouble. It's all about delegates, and unless someone is jacked up in their reporting, Obama and Clinton have the same amount (not including Super Delegates). I'm not so sure Edwards ducking out right now would be a great thing for us. We'll see how it goes.

Declaring Romney the candidate because he won a state with a large Mormon population and anther where his father was a well respected governor is a bit ridiculous.

Thank you for your clinical intervention. I did drop the blades.

I guess today Clinton's delegate count went to 50, while Barack has 25? Edwards has 18? C'mon JOhn, turn them over to BO, you know it is the right thing to do.

But yes, superdelegates...

ANd Romney has 73 delegates, Huckabee has 34, and McCain has like..16?

Exactly, it pretty much seemed like a given that he would take this one.

Wait, how did you get Clinton to 50?

For today only, they are predicting 13 for Clinton, 12 for Obama. Previously I believe the delegate count was 24 Obama 23 Clinton. Now, it's 37, 37.

Hillary 211
Obama 122
Edwards 52

GOP's NEED:1,191
Romney 72
Huckabee 24
McCain 19

In defense, it might not be just today that would give someone a "feeling."

He has been putting in a good showing elsewhere, and has the most delegates to date, plus lots of money. He could continue pretty steadily. It's certainly not a fact that he will be the candidate- but anything is possible at this point, and Romney is a pretty big possibility.
