You know whenever I hear that part about "God wanted me to be president!" I think back to the times when crusaders got their ass kicked by Salah Ad-Din.

What the hell.

God wills it!

You know I was about to bring it up but since Toku666 already brought it up, I too would like to know what has been made of that "incident" with Iran. I don't get CNN where I am now (which was the only american news channel I had) and it was only on the newspapers, though most of the headliners talked about a "provocation" and an "insult" that "nearly declenched war"...

I haven't heard it mentioned much, and it's dropped off the front pages. I suspect the media, at least, is starting to realize that we should be embarrassed by the whole thing.

Don't worry, we'll just give the Saudis the capability of knocking Iran's dick in the dirt, instead.

Analysts suggest that Congress will back the arms sale because it would bolster the Saudis in the face of Iran.

edit: I see eveyelle said this already.

It's a good thing for Bush that his family and the Saudi royal family are old chums. His "approval rating" in the country itself is around 10% - he's trailing Ahmadinejad and Osama bin Laden by a few percent.
