FTR is fair and balanced.

In what world? Fair and balanced means you are willing to accept someone elses views.

Is that definition from Fox News?

In a world where people get made fun, regardless of their political views, just because they do dumb shit like fake an car accident.

On a scale of awful things, this isn't the worst thing a Democrat's done, but it is funny that this guy tried to pull this stunt.

Is there something ironic about this guy faking an accident, like a campaign slogan of "Bringing Honesty Back to Politics"? If so, that would make this better.

Oh, and +1 to wishing this was about Chris Dodd punching Cheney in the face.

Just wait. That CT Sentator is a ticking timebomb, serious.

He'll take a poke as SOMEONE good between now and primary day.

He is pretty stocky, I'd say he could mop the floor with all of D.C. at the same time. And I'd pay to see it.

That's not even remotely what the phrase "fair and balanced" means. What is the term for someone who cannot recognize humor?

Anyone else amused that the person saying this is named "Conservative?" It's like they're not even trying anymore.

This all reminds me of a really good episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. This definitely straight out of Larry David's play book. Maybe he's a fan.

It's sort of like the Seinfeld where George leaves his car at Yankees stadium over the weekend and everybody thinks he's dead.

Then you would be forced, by your own words, to admit:

1) FOXNews is not fair and balanced

2) You are not fair and balanced

3) FTR might be fair and balanced

...after all, less than three weeks ago Chris Dodd was FTR's hero for a good, non-ironic reason: He was standing up to administration idiocy.

Try to keep up with the discourse, it's really not that hard.

CHRIS Dodd (not this schmuck) is my hero. At first, I though the OP of this had gotten his name wrong and all my hopes and dreams were vanquished. OH NOOO!

*wipes his brow* Shew!

Yeah. Never mind my now utterly hypocritical commentary which was obviously void of any meaningful reading comprehension. It just seemed really weird that I hadn't heard the story in any larger news outlets. Now I know that the problem existed within me.

This reminds me of the whole Boston "improvised fake device" thing.

What, exactly, did he do wrong here? It was the POLICE that overreacted and assumed he was missing.

Except in the "improvised hoax device" thing, those guys didn't intend for anybody to freak out and think they were bombs. It was a marketing campaign for a movie.

Here, the guy wanted people to think he was in a car accident and went missing, because he thought it would help his campaign. See the difference? He intentionally staged that, whereas the two guys in Boston were doing something else, which got misinterpreted by morons.

And that's pretty much the police's job, actually. I mean, I'm no law enforcement officer or anything, but I'd assume that if you stumble upon a car wreck with no victim to be found, you start looking. When you contact the victim's family and they haven't heard from the victim either, you keep looking.

I mean, I don't know for sure or anything. . . I'm just sayin'.

Yeah, I'm not really sure, but this kinda makes...I don't know...sense to me, or something. I could be wrong, but for some reason, it does.
