here's a talk at a university....as opposed to a short interview
The 10 Steps
1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
2. Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
3. Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
4. Set up an internal surveillance system.
5. Harass citizens' groups.
6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
7. Target key individuals.
8. Control the press.
9. Declare all dissent to be treason.
10. Suspend the rule of law.

There's a shorter, just as poignant clip of her arguing her point on the O'Reilly Factor.

As much as I enjoy laughing at Zeitgeist, this clip should not be compared to it. As far as I can tell, she isn't talking about world banks, or aliens
It isn't overly paranoid and outlandish to see rights being stripped away as a threat to democracy.
It is not crazy to see similarities between what this administration is doing, and what other corrupted governments have done in the past to create dictatorships.
Would anyone argue that the current administration has made this democracy stronger?
Would anyone argue that since this administration has been at the helm, their rights have not been tampered with?
Yes, she might be stretching, by using the "why else?" logic.
However, the facts about the rights being tampered with are not invalidated because she believes we're in the midst of a fascist shift.
All the lies are not suddenly disappearing because some people believe there is a darker motivation behind them.
Note: I'd like to see other thoughts, besides "why are they doing that, if they don't want to be dictators."
I had to listen to a certain section(at about 9:00min) twice just to make sure I wasnt hallucinating, but there is a big factual error attributed to Lenin, Lenin never created a secret prison system outside the rule of law nor am I aware of any tribunal system that stripped prisoners of due proccess of law under Lenin either.
The general points on stalin are correct but are quite superficial in its political analysis and even worse in its historical context considering she mentioned Stalins hysterical "sleeper cells" before the above mentioned prison system and tribunal, which would have been set up more than 10 years after Lenins death to prosecute the Left Opposition and the remenants of original bolshevik leadership and their supporters in USSR, the left opposition being the supposed leaders of these "sleeper cells".
I am almost certain she must have ment to say Stalin as her work has more in common with marxist analysis of international democracy when focused upon the U.S., then their is any real mudracking of socialism and marxism.
