I wonder when it became so utterly passe to adhere verbatim to the original ideals that the Constitution laid out. This article and all it's painful sarcasm is nothing short of silly and uneducated jabber concocted by a die-hard anti-conformist who'd rather be raging against whatever is catching on with the majority of dumb white-shoed college kids than actually admit that perhaps it's alright to like something good like Ron Paul and the Constitution and America's all but buried ideals.

As far as perfect voting record goes, I wouldn't say that. Personally I'm all for same sex adoption. But I suppose you only went by the "perfect voting record" that the Ron Paul signs told you about.

He doesn't adhere to the ideas of the Constitution. Almost everything that he would eliminate in government falls under the authority of the government as described by the Constitution. Read: Article 1 Section 8.

Not to mention the fact that he thinks that regulating companies from deciding how people can use the internet is a bad thing, or that only 5% of all black people have sensible political views (well, sensible according to his insane views), and wants to eliminate the EPA (because, somehow, companies will abide by property laws rather than environmental laws?).

Im against the gold standard loonies, but gold is pretty much agreed upon by by countries to be a store of value. The IMF and World Bank don't allow you to make your deposits without some amount of gold to back it up. Although it is questionable as to how much gold is actually worth anything vs being a sort of "universal currency" to be used as an intermediary trade device (meaning gold could be replaced with "World Dollars" or some shit like that).

Although I think people should be free to make their on currencies. If people want to accept it, that's up to them. Currency restrictions are rarely good. It's best to allow citizens to trade in whatever currency the free market decides. Some countries have averted financial disaster by switching over to the use of USD, and some countries have tried to keep foreign currency out of private hands (like Zimbabwe, in an effort to keep high foreign reserves in order to buy essentials from overseas).

Gold has value because it is limited in qunatity. It's been used as a form of currency since trade was established. While I agree that it has value based on what people belive, because it is finite, and cannot be reproduced, the fact that it HAS value isn't a subject for debate. I also made no mention of the Ron Paul money' being valuable beyond the actual metal it was stamped out of.
Now on to the juicy bits on the racisim card.
I'm curious if you read the entirety of the article. Or, if any of you are old enough to have watched the riots as they took place. I remember this fiasco and remember clearly the news reports of 'Can't we all just get along?' If King had been a white man, and performed in the same fashion the exact same outcome would have occured. Minus the riots. (Remember the college student that was tasered at the Kerry questioning?)

Were the riots in proportion to the abuse that King sustained? Why were the Koreans targeted? They aren't white. Why were the Jew's targeted in Germany. The perception of financial inequality. The perception that the White guy gets every thing while the Black man must fight for every thing he has. I would suspect that most of the subscribers to this site are White, and Male. Did you have to earn your education? Do you have to work for a living? Did you ever recieve a promotion over someone of color, when you had less qualifications? Do you have scolarships aimed specifically towards your ethnicity?
I happen to hold the idea that ALL (WO)MEN are created equal. As such every one must work and earn their way. No one, not a sinlgle person, should ever be granted rights of privlage over any other. Protection over any other. And if you do something that causes harm to any one other then yourself you should be held responsible for that action. In the case of the riots, the rioters should not be excused of the actions simply because they are black. They should be held responsible because they are human. As I read this article, this is the point I get from it.
