I think mummies put a valuable perspective on history. It shows that although civilization was not what it is today the people we read about in history books and legends were just real people that lived thousands of years before us. It's interesting to try and imagine what led them to make the laws of their time and what their society must have been like. I wouldn't say it's my hobby but it's definitely interesting, and mummies are relatively well known (thank you scooby doo) so they make an excellent example. As for King Tut's dick I'll leave that one to the experts...

Rameses the Great had a much more historically significant penis; he had 96 sons and 60 daughters. Which makes him something of an odd choice for naming a condom after.
