Again more liberals trying to take away my freedom of speech. I never told anyone to shut the fuck up or called anyone names. My school gave me the choice to say God or not and we also had a moment of silence which has now been removed from school. There was not a moment of prayer just silence and all you HAD to do was be silent.

And you are right that God was added to the pledge, but I am almost positive that God has always been on our money. And in case you have forgotten a good chunk of the first settlers were running from persecution of their religion. Also a large chunk of immigrants since then have been running from religious persecution. So when you want to take God out of the country remember that God is what this country was founded on.

The country was founded on Enlightenment principles. If you ever read, you'd already know this.

The only thing that's been "removed" nationally from schools is compulsory prayer. Every school I've been in has observed a moment of silence and allowed elective groups like Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Gospel Choir. They have days where students and teachers who elect to may gather around the flagpole to pray. There has been no collective effort to "take god out of schools." It's complete and utter bollocks.

Not everyone did call you names, or try to get you to stop using your freedom of speech. You still didn't answer my question, so I'll repeat it for you:

FTR wrote an article commenting on FEMA lying to the public, AT&T being scummy, Dick Cheney falling asleep in a meeting about, and a man who pisesd on a dying woman.

How do you respond? By calling him Godless, and invoking the name of CNN. Neither religion nor CNN were in anyway part of his article or argument, yet for some reason you brought them up to "prove your point".

the "nerve you hit" was in fact only that you claimed, for some reason, that he was a journalist. This is not supposed to be investigative journalism, it is commentary. But that's already been said multiple times.

No, I think it really was. He's not actually trying to discuss, he's just blabbering the usual rhetoric and bullshit. It's standard operating procedure for characters like this.

Personally, I do believe in God, but I don't really believe in churches and religion. Well, I know churces and religion exist - I just don't think they're a very good idea.

And if you think about it, and read Matthew 21:12 (wasn't that the name of a Rush album??! ) - anyway, if you think about the it, the operative words here being if. you (ubiquitous). think. - if you do that thinking thing: isn't having God on money just a wee bit ironic?? I would think that true Bible-thumping crispies would want God OFF of the money!!

Of course, one day this will occur to them and they will say they were just practicing "reverse psychology" and that this was obviously what all good God-fearing white straight men wanted in the first place Duh.

The constitutional right to free speech specifically and solely proscribes the government from restricting or controlling your speech, and even that, only to a point. Nobody in this thread is the government. And for that matter, none of us are trying to restrict your speech. We just think you're stupid.
