I can't believe he said "I admire the Islam" why does it seem like 90% of politicians don't realize that Islam is the religious and A MUSLIM is a member? Just like Christianity is the religious and Christians are the members? I mean, it's not really a surprise I hope, because according to this whole "Christian Nation" thing it's not very important anyway...but it still pisses me off when people don't take the time to learn the difference between "submission" and "one who submits" plus he can't even get it right within the same sentence!

AND I really love the way he completely surrenders his balls when he realizes what an ass he's suddenly made of himself and that that MAY have an effect on his candidacy. whatever

I strongly disagree with your tiltle. McCain did read the constitution, as he needed something to read right before he wiped his ass with it.

Bingo.

McCain is practically a non-issue/non-entity at this point.

Enough negatives that he won't even get the bid for Veep. In fact, I dunno who Giuliani would pick assuming he wins the primaries.

out of interest...how many people in this topic thread have read the entire constitution and remember it? apart from the first poster who stated they have just covered it with the children they are educating?

I'm going to say a fair few. There are lawyers and other attentive people in here.

Agreed.

I don't have it memorized line-for-line, but I've read it more than once, and keep a copy handy.

And yeah, there are a lot of fucking lawyers here.

Wasn't that Biakabutuka's first name?

As for the great seal talk, the other Latin phrase on the back side of the seal at least implies Chirstianity. It does not state it overtly, but the eye on top of the pyramid can be interpreted as the eye of God. And the phrase also comes from Virgil wherein Ascanius is pleading for Jupiter to acknowledge his undertakings. So, it can be interpreted as the seal-designers asking their God to acknowledge that the republic has come to be. That said, they probably leaned more toward it being the eye of providence or destiny.

Regardless of McCain's statements about the U.S. being a Christian nation, he does not understand Constitutional law.

The Line Item Veto Law, one of the few pieces of legislation McCain sponsored during his two decades in Congress, was struck down by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional (in Clinton v. New York (1998)) because it plainly violates the Presentment Clause (Art. I, Sec. 7). It gave the President the power to cancel spending provisions and limited tax benefits after signing the bill into law. And yet McCain continues to defend this law and maintain that it can be written in a constitutional way, even though the Supreme Court's opinion specifically says it can't be without a constitutional amendment. But, then, McCain probably he hasn't read the opinion either.

I'm pretty sure it was a reverse-jinx.

So, you're saying that Giuliani WILL choose McCain for Veep?
