people who are not in the Field of battle should not have an opinion on War Strategy.

People who haven't been on this site for more than a year should not share their boneheaded opinions in CE.

lmao.

people PAY for this site. and they can damn well state any opinion they'd like no matter when their join date is. wtf. that's like, the most ridiculous comment ever.

It must be hard typing without a funny bone...

Wake the fuck up people!!!! The photo-op is merely symbolic of the real issue here. But keep making arguments about how FTR's argument is akin to killing all of the Sunnis or how it is nothing but partisan Bush-bashing and I'll just give you all a collective *wooooooooooooooooooosh*.

The fact of the matter is that we are fucking arming these people!

Need we all have another history lesson to see how well our previous attempts to arm "allies" in the middle east and elsewhere has paid off? My guess is that most of you need it...

- The US arms President Saddam Hussein's Iraqi forces during the Iran-Iraq war. Saddam then uses these weapons to murder many of his own people, and invade Kuwait. When the US comes to the aid of Kuwait in the 1990s they face their gift head on.

- The US arms the Mujahideen in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion. Among the Mujahideen's leaders, a young Osama Bin Laden. The US has very likely had some of these weapons "re-gifted" during the recent ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.

So keep arguing about how the handshake this... and the Republicans that...but don't think that the real issue here won't bite us in the ass some day.

Thanks, robot.

So, anyone who disagrees with your stupid opinion is a robot. How deliciously common of you.

I keep wondering if this endless folly is driven more by the fear that Iraq will end up an Iranian client state or the desire to pass this scorching hot potato of a mess on to the next oval office inhabitant. I think he will gob on whomever, living or dead, to salvage something out of this incredible lunatic venture.

Maybe breaking up Iraq into real sustainable nations, as opposed to attempting to sustain its current rather arbitrary composition will work out. The Turks would hate on it, the Iranians would have a substantial say in the Shiite piece, but at least there would be a couple of states to act as a counterweight.

What a mess.

No, the article is obviously based on how people I, and others, feel emotionally about Bush shaking hands with our enemies. Her answer excluded any emotion and was very logical and therefor simplistic - hence my robot reference.

Get it? You need a lot of things explained to you.

Oh, and could you possibly have a gayer looking moustache? I mean, I know you're trying to look all tough in your pic, but I lived in the Castro for years. You'd fit right in.

My Point of View: It's sad the way life works but that's the way it works, enemies become allies and the war keeps going. Everyone keeps getting hurt.
In war there is always a constant change in who's on who's side, sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. But most of the time it is a war/political tactic. And those tactics are cold hearted and don't usually contain a grain of human dignity, respect or compassion.
The whole thing doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
The lesson to War mongers: don't start something you can't finish properly.
P.S: And Bush is a git and has always been one. That's why he can be a greasy president. He's like the local scumbag who survives the streets by sucking up(often not doing or saying anything that makes sense to sane people). Unfortunately he's also leading a country.

We are all going to Hell in our own special way <3 kiss

Truly what better way to ensure legal separation from brutal and illegal war tactics than to make allies of militant groups who are guaranteed to carry them out on your behalf! Very much a known and common US war tactic.
A link to some interesting info on the subject.

You're attempting to fuck with me. It worked very well, I could be doing more "work" but instead I'm on the internet fighting with a guy I'll never meet, but I have to fight because the internet is very serial to me. The only reason I answered your very good points was because I'm a 40 year old guy who likes fighting on the internet. All of your points have merit. Now excuse me, I have more internet fighting to do.

fix'd

now I concede you are the internet champion. LOL
