I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the US should help the US, er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
Would you mind transcribing that again, this time with PawSense enabled?

Just in case is confused, that's not a typo for "us," she actually said U.S. Americans.
That's the least dumb thing she said; it was actually a worthy clarification. Granted when people say "Americans" most of us think of United States citizens, but technically "American" encompasses a large number of countries.
You know, I saw this story on the news at work today, and I admit I tried to defend the girl.
"Just think," I said. "We're ripping this young woman apart because she's not a great public speaker, when our own president can't do any better than this."
Ok, the sound on the tv was off and I had no idea what she actually said at the time, but I stand by my point!

I thought we learned that our President is actually a fantastic public speaker who uses his "blue collar" speaking skills to manipulate us.

I don't know which is more disconcerting, the fact that 1/5 of Americans can't identify the U.S. on a world map, or her answer. Something tells me that both are directly related.
BINGO
and, i may have odd taste in girls, but i don't think she's that hot. so she scores minus 20 points with me, i am simply bemused by her answer.
