Testing positive for amphetamines in baseball is like a cat testing positive for whiskers. You may as well say he tested positive for wearing a glove while playing in the field.

You know, of course, that Hank Aaron is the guy who had his record broken?

It's also pretty funny that your journal is currently a salute to one of the most famous cheaters in sports history. At least be consistent, dude.

If steroids didn't play a significant part in that, then how come he wasn't able to do that over the entire span of his career?

This is the silliest kind of simplification you are making. Because he was not a cleanup hitter for the entire span of his career? Because the baseballs were not juiced for the entire span of his career? Because in 1986 there were a great deal many more stadiums where a 320 foot shot down the line would land in the field of play rather than over a wall?

In 1986, the average NL team hit 125 home runs. In 2001, the average NL team hit 185 home runs. Numbers changed? ZOMG!!1@

Roger Maris: 14, 28, 16, 39, 61, 33, 23, 26, 8, 13, 9, 5.

Wonder what he was on?

Not to mention:
2006: Bonds 118 games played. Bats 4th. 5th -Durham and Alou.
2005: Bonds 13 games played.
2004: Bonds bats 4th. Batting 5th: Feliz, Alfonzo, Pierzynski & Snow
2003: Bonds bats 4th. Batting 5th: Cruz, Alfonzo, Santiago
2002: Bonds bats 4th & 5th. Batting behind him: 50% Kent. 50% Santiago
2001: Bonds bats 3rd. Batting 4th Kent. = 73 home runs

Not to mention: 73 more AB's in 2001 than 2002. 22 more walks in 2002.

You are walked less and get better pitches to hit if the previous season's MVP is batting behind you: Kent 2000.

Wow. Fucking Maradona? Every Argument you just made against Bonds just went out the window, Vinny.

Let me know when Bonds cheated to win the World Series, please...

I lived in Pittsburgh for 30 + years. I got to see Bonds start his career and I am glad I did. He is in my opinion the greatest player to have played. Steroids or no steroids the guy is still better then anyone else out there. Before he supposedly started taking steroids he already had 3 mvp's, 8 gold gloves and loads of other stuff. The only reason everyone talks about him so much is because he is the best. All the other players who took steroids aren't even nearly as good as he is so they don't get mentioned in this whole shit storm. Steroids don't make your hand-eye coordination better either. He won the batting title a few years ago when he hit .371. He does what he does even though he walks more then any other player in history.

I pretty much figure he has used steroids of some type, but I still think he is a great player and I will always cheer the guy when he is on the field. I do understand why people want to call him a cheater. If baseball had got off it's ass and started banning shit, regulating the problem like other sports do way sooner then they did, then perhaps it would never have become the problem it has. They chose to ignore it.

It won't matter in 10 years anyways when A-rod breaks the record and shatters it.

Actually, technically, that's very much hearsay.
