Yes it is. It's also true that it is best introduced while being danced around on the hip of your mama, while she sings along to the stereo, not on headphones. Bleh.

yes indeed. 
i do know that my daughter likes my mp3 player. shes not an infant by any means, but she likes to listen to mommies music on it sometimes. but for a parent to buy a toddler an mp3 player specificly for themselves....is really just hiring another babysitter. parents really need to lay off of the video games/tv/gadget bullshit for their kids. it's getting a little out of hand.
