I have been doing some reading about this and finding all the information I can and I must admit that I am afraid. Afraid that I have no control over the county I live in, when you make choices and vote and then absolute powers take control no matter what the majority think I get scared.

One World Government, Loosing your rights, Loosing your freedom... watch this video first then take a look at the additional links below:

So we'd be trading one faceless, distant government that we feel we have no control over that uses a certain currency for a different faceless distant government that we feel we have no control over, that uses a different currency.

Right.

Considering that most people's concerns about a one-continent currency stem from worries that AMERICA will have undue influence, not other countries, I'm not too concerned. Considering the intricate and continual economic connections between our government and that of Canada and Mexico, (and other nations) such a more formalized connection is long overdue and likely appropriate.

They're not coming in their black helicopters to take over the United States and take away your rights, the US is quite handily doing so right now without anybody else's influence.

If you're really worried about currency collapsing, go trade all your paper money for precious metal. Even better yet, convince everyone you know to invest in precious metal. When all the kooks start buying gold, the price goes way up and I get rich.

So I watched the first few seconds of the first link. That speech is clearly about the horrors of communism. So I'm going to assume that the rest of the video is just as mendacious.

It's easy to tell by looking at the titles of the links that this is fairly typical Libertarian paranoia about "Socialist" conspiracies to take over the the world and abolish national sovereignty.

Human Events? World Net Daily? The phrase "One World Government" is another dead giveaway, as is the "Amero."
