I am surprised you didn't comment on the fact that Shinseki didn't make sure that everyone had proper body armor instead of berets. I personally would rather have something that will protect me from bullets then a new hat!

This would be a masterful point if we were all five-years-old. We are not.

Poor planning and a hurry to get this war on was the major contribution to soldiers not being properly outfitted.

Check out Rummy's idea for a cheap, quick, light force deployed to the region and compare it to Shineski's plans.

Or if supply of equipment were the responsibility of the Chief of Staff rather than the Secretary of Defense.

Or if it had any relevance whatsoever to the topic at hand.

How could anyone who is not a republican speak for republicans about whether or not they would be liked as republicans.

There is a strong argument to be made that you are not a Republican, but a blind follower of one particular man.

There is a strong argument to be made that he just has some kind of profound cognitive deficiency - probably more deserving of our pity than scorn.

I think there's a strong argument to be made for
Jabberwacky, too. Though Alpha22 seems to be a step backwards.

Edit: Dagnabbit.

Actually, it was me who sidestepped the debate, or at least aided and abetted it.
