Not only that, but if you are going to be the mouthpiece for a greater evil, at least be a semi literate, possibly intelligent sounding one.

I disagree there. It's infinitely easier to control a moron than it is to control a man or woman of intelligence.

Because he isn't bright enough to understand progressive ideals, and would disagree with them if he were, he can't comprehend their existence, and so assumes that that "conservatives" are the only politicians with any guiding set of values, and can only comprehend the opponents of conservatives (which is to say, "liberals") in perversely obstructionist and nakedly ambitious terms.

Most partisans use this as a smear tactic against their opponents. alpha22 just isn't intelligent enough to comprehend that there can honest differences of policy between persons of principle.

I think you may be mistaken here. I suspect that he's just incapable of understanding that anyone can be non-partisan.

(Anyone remember stockula? He did that all the time.)

It's pronounced TOE-MAY-TOE, you damn limey.

Hm. So, have I got the wrong idea about Quayle hunting, as practiced by that nice Mr Cheney?

Hmm. One of us missed the point, but I'm not sure which.

That was my of saying I didn't see much practical difference between our two assertions (as in, "tomayto, tomahto"). I'm not sure what you're getting at now, though it's obviously a reference to Cheney's marksmanship.

Ahahahaha, you have no idea what you are talking about if you think soldiers get paid well. What bush has done is get our pay close to how much some one working minimum wage would make in a year. If you think less than 20,000 dollars a year is great pay, especially with what we do that is sad. I made more money working fast food than I do right now, dictator ha.assumption = very stupid comment. wink

Right. History is your guide here, army boy. And by the way: I was in the US Navy for 4 years in the 80s so don't mouth off like you know me, punk.

Noticed some comments here...

Clinton WAS impeached. He was acquitted by the Senate 45-55 (not guilty-guilty) on the charge of perjury and 50-50 on the charge of obstruction of justice.

Impeachment is only when a legislative body brings charges against a government official. Andrew Johnson was the only other president to be impeached (for violating the Tenure of Office Act), and he was acquitted by a vote of 35-19. One more "guilty" vote would have convicted him on all three articles of impeachment.

Bush should be the third president to be impeached, and Cheney should be the first VP to be impeached. If lying about a blowjob is an impeachable offence, then I can't see how Congress can justify not impeaching the entire administration.

Your right the democrats should impeach and get even less done then they have since taking congress. The great democats do nothing congress with no major legislation pass into law.Way to go Harry and Nancy your doing a hell of a job at nothing.

It's called Republican obstructionism in the Congress/Senate and Presidential veto. That's why they can't get any of the legistation thru, idiot.

Do not launch a crusade against somebody else or publicly call for their removal. The appropriate way to go about dealing with someone else's inappropriate behaviour is to:

* keep a level head
* do not attack them in retaliation
* CAREFULLY decide if they have ACTUALLY personally attacked you
* decide whether or not you care
* if so, flag the comment if you have the option, or privately state your problem in the form on the help page - ONCE

And four years? Last time he said it was seven, and he talks like it was twenty. Four years ain't but dipping your toes.

That is funny, I wasn't aware that he was calling for anyone certain to be removed.

What in the world would make you so upset about his comment that you would feel the need to quote that?

I did.

My statement still stands.

He knows what the military is paid, as he is CURRENTLY in the military. He is more than capable of knowing whether or not he is being paid 'well' for what he does. I happen to agree with him, being a military wife, with many many friends in various branches of service.

And you were exceptionally hostile. It really didn't take that much reading comprehension to understand your tone.
