12 Gauge Boundry Security System

This particular device, when used outdoors, serves as an effective pest control and early warning signal against intruders on your property. This system is all aluminum construction that can be used over and over again. Designed to accommodate 12 gauge blanks.

Too messy.

Real geeks prefer a remotely activateable Halon system, which is also good in case of fire

I like it - discrete, death in 30 seconds or less and legal (ish)

EDIT: He ate? Have these people never heard of DNA?

Cops at burglary scenes rarely dust for fingerprints much less check for DNA. CSI lies. wink

Apparently, so I've seen on a doco, if you can get a DNA sample, you can get "stuff" to replicate more of it - you then spray this onto a broken window with some blood. Cops go straight for blood. The replicated DNA "bits" totally swamp the samples taken.

I was amazed at how little DNA was needed at the start and the ease of implicating someone.

Trapping villains in an airtight room has an almost evil genius aura to it, as a major bonus

The police around here are pretty much the same way...unless it's some kind of violent crime or a major incident they'll file a report and that's about it. The burglar removed and old cheap bass from a padded gig bag I had it in to carry the more expensive one and left very clear finger prints on the body, but the cop who took my report didn't really care. Although the detective that worked with me to recovery my stolen property was pretty cool; they did that much for me!

The law (not sure if it's state or federal) requires pawn shops to report high-dollar items to the police. The pawn shop that bought my bass - worth about $1000 in parts alone - for $50 called it in and my detective recovered it for me.

Huzzah! Actually, they have a neat shpeel in the Christopher Nolan film Following about crooks' use of peoples' own duffel bags for swag transport so apparently this is not an isolated incident of sports-bag thievery.
