I'd think he might be trying to use it to sell books or get on TV as a talking head.
Of course, that sort of thing almost, sorta/kinda worked OK for Pat Buchanan. Though honestly, I think they were just happy to see him absent from their primary debates when he ran with Lenora Fulani. That was a ticket that really should have gotten more media attention. Guy that's slightly to the right of Mussolini hooks up with a socialist black woman.

Guy goes into a drugstore. Robs it. Goes into another drug store. Robs it. Heads toward a third. Now, quick! What's he going to do in that drugstore?
Point is this guy gets "disillusioned" when complex political processes do not match his rather simplistic expectations. This is an indicator of a rather shallow thinker with a possible personality disorder, which means he will get hooked up with someone else and get "disillusioned" (disillusionment apparently takes a while in this guy.) But, if it will make you feel better, let's lower the odds to 95%.
except that, again, it's around a decade between his visits to drugstores. who knows what the guy might do if he went to drugstores more often? maybe those two times would be the only time he'd feel the urge to rob a drugstore--flukes that look like a pattern because the sample size is too small.
the fact that his past reversals have been so loud and public could definitely hurt his chances of getting a job with anyone else. and the fact that he's made public reversals during every administration in the past ten years could very well put someone off of hiring him. i just don't think that changing your mind twice makes you a "career traitor".

Really, I'm going with Nick and the others on this. If he wants to play in the big leagues, he's got one of two teams to bat for. He's taken it in turns to bat for each, and each time he's turned on them.
I'm not sure where he's got to go for here, except sports broadcasting (to continue the metaphor). I doubt either team will want him to bat for them again.
