DrKobra said: Rumors in the past of Jeb Bush, Condi, Colin Powell, wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea makes her way to the House of Representatives one day.

I hope if Chelsea ends up running for President one day, that she runs against one of the Bush twins.

If Republicans elect a woman to run by then.

I mean seriously did you want me to make a list?!? Its just an example, works the same across the board on all issues... good cop, bad cop. Republicans loosen enviormental laws to the point that people start seeing real problems then the dems set in new strict standards that ban old cars and forbid certain abuses of land ect... fact remains the same

So if it works the same across the board on all issues that the GOP and the Democratic Party have substantially different agendas that have drastically different impacts, what "fact" remains the same, exactly?

I feel sorta uneducated when I read you all argue. I'd vote Obama just to get a new face in there as well, but hell if I know if he is a good candidate really..

growing up in the south during the clinton 90s convinced me a long time ago that hillary clinton is unelectable.

fear the reaper has done a good job cataloging her flaws, but he is perhaps unduly harsh with regard to her "likability" when most of the reason people who couldn't tell you her stance on any issue inexplicably don't like her is because she's been demonized for a decade and a half.

Oh for fuck's sake, stop horse-racing. This isn't a horse race. It doesn't matter who's electable. It matters that you vote, and it matters that you make an informed choice. And if you don't like the choices you see for 2008, get involved now, when there's still a chance to change the choices we have then. And then, hold your nose and vote for the least evil candidate, even if you don't like them. Not voting is not a protest - it's a cop-out.

There isn't a vast conspiracy. There's an ecosystem. And there are sharks in the ecosystem. If you want someone other than the sharks to win, be part of the giant school of fish that overwhelms them - don't just run and hide. Remember how V for Vendetta ended?

Power to the People!

If being a good public speaker has so much to do with becoming the President, how do you explain old Georgie boy?

He tries to keep up a down-to-earth style that makes him likeable to a lot of American voters.

That's exactly the opposite of what I have said... So here it is one more time nice n slow like: they have the SAME agendas which they each fulfill a different aspect of, each setting the stage for the other, hence the terms "good cop bad cop" and "all roads lead to mammy's kitchen".. both of which insinuate 2 things that seem to be opposites but in fact lead to the same outcome each trying to appeal to a different side or view or opinion trying to gain your support but in the end they always had and always will have the same agenda, almost as if they were shaking hands all along ... now I have no desire to argue for the mere sake of arguing so that is all I will say on the subject. If you have any interest in what I am saying simply look at the policies set over say the past fifteen years and look at the ones that followed and see where we are now, you can already see where we are heading.... Its kinda like how a lot of people thought we would see the war begining to wrap up once the dems gained control of congress, instead its just more of the same but this time with disapproving talk to go with it

right, the "aww, shucks" factor. people like that he sounds like a goober because they think "he's just like me. he must understand my problems."

So, the Dems and Repubs are exactly the same, and they show that by doing two totally opposite things? Good logic.

Luckily for me, if the shitstorm hits again in 2008, I will be moving to a parallel dimension in which "The West Wing" was a documentary.

Another valid point. Is this country yet mature enough to elect either a woman or a black man? I'd like to think so, but am I dreaming?

I would think that some of your comments are justified if only you didn't take most of your first paragraph directly from the front page article in Mother Jones Magazine as well as the depiction of Hillary tied up. Also you turned the words around from the magazine to make it say what you wanted it to say. That doesn't work for me. Plagiarism to the worst degree.

Link, maybe? Plagiarism is a pretty serious charge.

EDIT: I found the article, but I don't see where anything (besides the picture) was plagiarized.

Clinton, McCain, Obama, Edwards, Gore, Guiliani, any Bush = TOTAL LYING SCUM with NO INTENTION on doing anything to fix America and/or investigate and prosecute the murdering pack of criminals that have taken over the country after the inside job of 9/11.

The only candidate worth voting for is Ron Paul. Possibly Kucinich, but Paul is leaps ahead of him.

A-fucking-men!

I think part of the whole reason people like NEWT have come forward to say things in her favor is so they can sit back and laugh when she gets the nomination.

well, i work for my main man B.O. and the reason why is bc he is the only person running who appears to get how much good will the fucking cheney idiots squandered after we had the whole world's sympathy and support with us briiefly after 9/11. he is tolerant and open to dialogue and i only wish he did not have to get out and do the same shit they all do for the cash to run!

and little dude who says who votes for dems, if you think you are voting your interests when you vote republican and yet you belong to this site, wake up!!

Because he's personable, and "folksy". He makes a connection with people regardless of the retarded bullshit coming out of his mouth, and sometimes moreso because of it.

Bingo. He's not an eloquent speaker, but he's a good and effective one. He is charming and he is likable - in that mildly retarded uncle sort of way.
