Mass apathy is the road to institutional bigotory. I'm sure most of the Germans who voted for Hitler quite liked the Jews. This kind of oddity doesn't need mockery it needs action. 2/3 Is a pretty big minority, I'm sure if all the town councillors who voted against it rallied people to fly flags of their historical nationality (i.e. not all that many US citizens are true natives), they'd have to change the law.
It only takes a few idiots with extreme views to create a monster, if everyone else goes, 'Teehehe, whatever', AKA I live in the UK which equals 12 people to every CCTV camera and therefore a personal film of me, somewhere, is made 30 times a day. Fuck me, what a world we live in.

my father is english, and my parents have both the union jack and the stars and stripes flying outside the house. the US flag is positioned higher because that's the country they live in, and because my family is patriotic. my dad is a very proud englishman who still retains his UK citizenship even after over 30 years of living here in the states. if he has no problem with the US flag being above his, why the hell are all these damn hippies getting so up in arms? seriously, sometimes i feel ashamed to look at these individuals and call myself a liberal.
you can fly your country's flag all you want, just so long as you have a US flag above it. it's the country you live in, and furthermore, the country that gives you the right to fly said flag. what's the big fuckin deal?
I thought US hostilities with Great Britain ended with the Treaty of Ghent?
When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace.
Pahrump is kind of a great stream of trailer parks. It's the home of talk-radio UFO wingnut Art Bell. While you're driving into the town it's one billboard after another. About 1/3 of them are for brothels.
Believe it or not, the best steak special in town (how you measure any city in Nevada) is at Sheri's Ranch. The story of how I learned that is too fucking funny to repeat here.
