I have to give a hand to solaris, since these threads normally turn into Bush bashing (don't get me wrong, the comments are witty). I voted for Bush too because of the fact that as much as he sucked, he was better than the others. I tend to side with conservatives because of their harsh foreign affairs policies. Not to sound cynical, but most the world hates us. And sure ,its cuz we're dicks,: we're rich dicks. All the other countries in the world who hate us would act the same way in our position. If Iran was the super power do you really think shit would be better? Yeah, its up to us to make the world a better place since we are the most powerful.. but at the same time we have to make sure that we stay on top. You guys can criticize us on your computers with your Starbucks and your other trendy shit, and I will do the same. The bottom line is if you are rich enough to have a computer, internet access and an SG account, you are in the top few % of people in the world and to keep that cool shit we have to push other people around. Off topic rant, but it gets annoying watching everyone in the ivory tower bitch about the peasants.

So you voted for Bush to keep SG out of Iran?

Geoge W. Bush is no conservative, when it comes to matters that count. Bill Clinton was more conservative, in many respects...

yes.

Sadly, he seems to think he can make up for it by stonewalling stem cell research, and other shid nobody with a brain in their head objects to.

agreed.

All that said, I voted for him, and would do so again, if I could. I can't stay mad at him, he's an honorable man, and he's dead-on with Israel. It's tragic that he blew his wad on Iraq, because his ambition to reform Social Security was all manner of bold and inspiring...

uh, what? surreal

Honourable man? If a man is known by the company he keeps, then Dubya is a real dirtbag, given that his right hand man is Karl Rove. Rove wrote the book on the political dirty tricks and conducting smear campaigns.

Damn skippy.

If Iran gets its hands on SGs, there's no telling the kind of horror it could rain down upon the world.
