NO!

It's quite clearly not why you are a conservative.

Well that, and there isn't a coherent "Liberal" or "Conservative" historiography.

I mean unless somebody wants to explain the liberal and conservative views on the iconoclasm controversy or the Meiji Restoration.

The liberals wanted it to be funded by government of course, and the conservatives thought it should be a matter for private ingenuity and enterprise.

Whichever one you mean.

i love it. terrorists praising terrorists for opposing terrorists.

How do you define the The Lebanese Foundation for Peace as a terrorist organization?

uh, foundation for peace? You wrote that they

On behalf of thousands of Lebanese, we ask you to open the doors of Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport to thousands of volunteers in the Diaspora willing to bear arms and liberate their homeland from [Islamic] fundamentalism.

sounds peaceful to me.

Or, the iconoclasm of the early Meiji Restoration (either anti-Buddhist or anti-Christian icons).

so, we're going to take an incident that took place 30 years ago and use that as a reason the christian insurgency may not count as terrorism? seriously, though, by your own statements i can already guess that you believe that every muslim in the country, not just the radicals that took over the country 30 years ago, is an islamofacist. do you think that's a fair assessment?

these christians see a chance to take back their homeland, through violence; there is no disagreement between us nor the article about that. regardless of the cause or inspiration, is not a violent uprising, an insurgency if you will, a plausible example of terrorism?

The majority of the muslim community supports Hezbollah (which I assume you agree are terrorists) and their radical cause. I highly doubt that the Christians would commit wholesale slaughter on moderate muslims who do not want to support Hezbollah. (Your assumptions about me were wrong.)

30 yerars ago is not that long. There are many people in Lebanon who were around back then and many more who's children grew up in the aftermath. Fighting for freedom against an Iranian sponsored terrorist organization is not terrorism.

I hate hate HATE to engage anyone in this sort of conversation (because I know exactly how useful it is), but I have to ask: when you support the Christian "insurgency" in Lebanon, and condemn the "insurgency" in Iraq, does your head require duct tape to stop from exploding? I only ask because I think you need to take a good, hard look at why you're supporting this, and then ask yourself if your views may not be flavoured by the teensiest bit of ethnocentrism, if not outright racism.
