Cryket brings it all back home, an Oregonian -- even more, resident in Portland -- in fishnets & surrounded by mid 80s to mid 90s punk ephemera; this is a SuicideGirls primer, without seeming dated. The photography remains as vibrant coloured & crisp as any of the recent school of SG photography (Brunelli, Smallin, Cherry), & that I enjoy... But this antidote to my own Thomas Wolfe affectations is the real draw.
Also, I note this series merges two threads of Northwest culture. On the one, the magic bus of Ken Kesey, as detailed by that other Wolfe (Tom); the other, the distance-running of Prefontaine. How that, though? Simply, when I get to no. 69 in the chronology, the heretofore black booty short took on a bit more the aspect of a runner's shorts, not so much drooping on the front of thigh as becoming as much skirt or loincloth. Another nice touch.
