This is just the right tone. Humorous, respectful for those who deserve it, intelligent.

The GOP is going to flop next week.

This energetic, enthusiastic speech is a far cry from the perfunctory sulking that I half-expected. I underestimated her, clearly.

Really? That's what you thought she would do?

Well, necessity alone demanded something extraordinary from her, but my own expectations were low as well.

That was shorter than I expected, but still excellent.

Thanks, Senator Clinton.

Half-thought.

I thought she would speak in measured tones that equated to "Anyone is better than McCain, whether it's Obama this year (or someone else)."

I can't believe how much fun its been watching this the last 2 days. I never really got into it as much in past elections, but I think it has alot to do with the fact this is the most important election in my personal voting lifetime.

I'm quite certain you'll be able to get a digital copy pretty damn soon.

Also, I think Bill Clinton's speech tomorrow night will keep up the excitement.

In retrospect, I wish she'd done more to talk up Obama so that a vote for him would be more than a vote for the guy Clinton was backing, but I suppose simply getting her own die-hards to vote for him is good enough.

Compared to others calling Obama an outright inspiration to them, she didn't have too many kind words for him. Rather, her speech seemed more focused on what she was fighting for and why McCain will fuck a hole in our country if he is elected. Again, this is a perfectly valid strategy for her, but considering she'd called Obama inexperienced and idealistic to a fault just months ago I have to say that her harsh words for Obama are still what come to mind when I think of Clinton's opinion of Barack.

I'll have to watch it again when it's up on Youtube, but it seems like we were watching two different speeches.

It's the exact complementary color to the bright blue background. That wasn't an accident. I bet they spent hours getting the color exactly right.

i don't know about hours, but i did see a clip from earlier today where they were holding up four or five different colored pantsuits on the stage.

I heard Obama's name a few times, of course, but I can't recall hearing many adjectives attached to it.

Maybe I have some insanely specific kind of amnesia, though.
