<snip snip> Think Tree <snip snip>

They actually released stuff?

My old roommate Grink once gave me a demo tape of theirs from (I think) a college in New England somewherefrom maybe 1987ish. Had a weird song about the sun beating down on parasols and something about aerosols, like an early Global Warming anthem or something and then something about "We may never know . . "

I'll have to dig out the tape. The whole thing was quite good as I recall, but it got packed away during an interstate move I suppose and never resurfaced.
I always hoped they'd done something that got noticed by more than just me.

Hire a Bird!!!! I think that's the song about the sun burning holes through your parasol and clouds so thick they split in two from aerosol!

They only released two albums, eight/thirteen and Like the Idea. Hire a Bird was on Eight/Thirteen, great song. That album is up on iTunes, couldn't believe it when I came across it there. You can often find both albums on Amazon, for a really decent price.
