Marilyn Manson says his new record,Eat Me, Drink Me (out now), saved him from an identity crisis. The controversial singer -- recently hailed as “The Last Rock Star” bySpin magazine -- chatted with Aaron Detroit about Slayer fans, getting his mojo back by making a record while lying on the floor, his directorial debutPhantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, and the last gasps of record industry.
I do believe that is the strangest acting direction I've ever heard in my life. It seems that whenever Marilyn puts out a new album it becomes my favorite. And now he's done it again. Can't wait to see him live.
awesome interveiw. i remember that music video shoot. it was crazy. i wonder if they are going to show me and nixon making out topless with all the other hot topless SGs :giggle:. We didn't leave the set until like 4 am. It was insanity but alot of fun at the same time. I can't wait to see the dvd. And I'm glad I got to be apart of that video shoot. xoxox

Ooooo. Now I officially jealously hate Lovette!! She got to make out with Nixon, and be in a Marilyn video!
Alice in Wonderland-influenced art/films have beenon the uprise for a while, i'm looking forward to seeing how this will be different. it's at least refeshing to get a new perspective on Lewis Carroll.
I did rather hate "Heart Shaped Glasses", but i think i'll check out the rest of the album now.
errr going out with a groupie indicates a major crisis in superstardom, eh? His current gigs with session musicians are rather rubbish - glamour is gone, show is gone, and all the re-inventing the best goth record in history is an arrogant pretentious wankfest, the only remotely intriguing thing to me is what kind of drugs is he on these days.

I wish he woulda dished about Evan Rachel Wood....my friends thought their whole sex bit in "Heart Shaped Glasses" was disgusting, but I thought it was H_ O_T. I think they're cute together.
And I can't wait for the movie, it's gonna fucking rock!
I actually really liked "Eat Me, Drink Me". His best album in some time. This interview was good, but Manson's definitely head-over-heels in love with himself.
omg! the man of my life...i can listen to him for hours..and more..god...i would do anything just to just talk to him. of course i would do so much more..but aleast to talk to him would be soo awesome...*sigh* well a girl can dream..lol <333 great intreview.
At first, i didnt like this new album. But then i played it and played it anyway. And I thought to myself, I must like it. I keep playing it. So, now i think i do like it. But my all time favorite album remains to be Antichrist Superstar. Eat me Drink me, is great for when i feel depressed. Maybe MM was emotional from the divorce and stressed out while he made these songs. Which in turn, makes me respect the music even more.
He is a true genius, I can't wait for that movie. I still haven't yet to be to one of his concerts. That should be something on my high priority to-do list now.
